Summary:
The Turkish SME is willing to supply solid (granular) and liquid (concentrated) organic vermicompost and seeks trade partners in Europe and Asia to cooperate under a commercial agency or distribution services agreement.
Composting organic wastes using earthworms is called ‘vermicompost’ (also known as biohumus or worm castings). It is a natural, microbial organic fertiliser, without any chemicals.
Description:
Turkish enterprise has been on the market since 2017 at Canakkale, North-Western Turkey. Today, the SME operates 7 days a week from a 1.400 m² built up facility of total 7.000 m² in Biga District, based on the investment of vermicompost technology. The SME is one of the few manufacturers in Turkey that is licensed by the Republic of Turkey the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
Vermicompost is produced from organic manure by Californian Red earthworms (Eisenia Foetida), sometimes referred to as the tiger worm. Cow dung (70 %) is mixed with egg shells and crop based waste materials (30 %) and fermented for 4 months. Earthworms ingest the fermented matter and excrete valuable ‘vermicompost’. This organic fertiliser is rich in organic carbon and plant-available nutrients including nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium that enhance seed germination, stimulates plant and root growth, increases crop yield and improves plant nutrition.
Finished solid compost is dark coloured, light, has a pleasant smell of fresh earth and packed into 3, 5, 10 and 20 kg bags. It is ideal for field, greenhouse, garden and balcony farming, seed growing, seedling transplanting and lawns.
Hydrodynamic cavitation technique is applied to some of the solid vermicompost to obtain concentrated liquid fertiliser (known as vermicompost tea or worm compost tea) which is packed into 1, 5, 10 and 20 lt drums.
Hydrodynamic cavitation is a process of vaporisation, bubble generation and bubble implosion which occurs in a flowing liquid as a result of a decrease and subsequent increase in local pressure.
Liquid (concentrated) fertiliser can be used in hydroponic (soil-free) farming and all types of agricultural irrigation systems (surface, drip, sprinkler irrigation, etc.) including foliar plant spray.
The products are certified for the application in organic agriculture. They are proven safe, 100% natural, and correspond to all EU standards and regulations which allow them to be used in organic farming.
Due to its close access to container ports the SME holds a logistic advantage, being agile and responsive to short notice deliveries. The enterprise can provide permanent quantities of its products; therefore, it shall be considered as a reliable partner with long term cooperation.
The ideal partner is expected to have well-developed trade contacts in the organic agriculture sector and a keen understanding of their local and national markets.
Commercial agency agreement or distribution services agreement is offered to potential partners in order to penetrate to overseas markets where there is demand for organic vermicompost.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
The Turkish producer is looking for trade partners with knowledge and experience in the specific market for organic farming. This will be a great chance for the parties to benefit mutually from the cooperation in which both sides will grow together.
Distribution services agreement is offered to relevant distributors to act as a distributor on behalf of the SME, to increase the company's market share and the number of end-users.
Commercial agency agreement is another choice offered to potential partners in Europe and Asia, who are expected to put effort that the products are marketed effectively as well as the market positioning is performed appropriately.
