Dysphagia is the medical term for swallowing difficulties, often occurring as a result of a medical condition such as a stroke or other serious medical trauma. Dysphagia is a global problem, currently affecting 12-15% of the over 50’s in every country, or 565,000,000 people globally. Those with this condition cannot drink ordinary drinks. They flow to fast for them and cause them to choke. To avoid it the need to add thickener to make their drinks flow slowly. The company has created a range of drink thickeners for all dysphagia sufferers healthcare needs that are easy to prepare, safe to swallow and palatable to drink. There are thickeners for hydration, medication, nutrition and social. The drinks are approved and used by UK health service professionals and many are available on prescription. The company is therefore looking to have a long term working relationship with companies that have established distribution channels in to hospitals, connections with community healthcare professionals and are selling direct to patients and their carers
