The company has patented an innovative photovoltaic tracker that, compared to other systems available on the market, has a compact and more functional structure which reduces the mechanical parts to be installed.
The single-axis solar tracker is able to perform a maximum rotation of +/- 55 ° based on the daily position of the sun and thanks to set algorithms it rotates in the safeguard position when critical values of wind speed and snow load are exceeded.
The structure of the tracker allows continuous tracking of the sun, guaranteeing an energy production of about 25% more than traditional fixed photovoltaic systems. Thanks to its lightness and stability, it guarantees enormous savings and is suitable for photovoltaic parks, ensuring greater durability and minimizing maintenance costs.
The innovative photovoltaic tracker is available in three different models:
- Single-axis solar tracker with single or double panel in vertical position, with the characteristics listed above.
- Single-axis solar tracker for horizontal bifacial modules; this model has been designed for horizontal bifacial modules with a system for supporting reflective panels, that double the absorbing surface thanks to the reflective panels directly connected to the axis of the tracker, guaranteeing greater energy efficiency.
- Agro-photovoltaic solar tracker, designed for installation on agricultural land, making it possible to use the same land for a photovoltaic system as well as for agriculture.
All trackers can be controlled with a user interface that allows to manually set the tracker in the desired position and view all the details of the operation.
The control system that deals with the perfect functioning of the single-axis solar tracker consists of three basic devices:
- a control unit that controls the movements of the tracker by means of an integrated inclinometer and the motor control output power.
It also constantly monitors the energy consumption of the engine and the state of charge of the battery in order to prevent any mechanical and/or aging problems.
-Sun Position Server (SPS) able to calculate the position of the tracker according to the time, date, geographic coordinates, azimuth, geometry and spacing of the tracker with an accuracy of 0.0003 ° thanks to the installation of a powerful 240 MHz dual-core processor. It also monitors and controls any tracker thanks to the internal web server management. In addition, it is possible to connect the system router with the SPS allowing remote access and data recording;
-Weather station that measures wind speed and snow height by means of an ultrasonic sensor, transmitting data to each control unit which evaluates, on the basis of the set wind speed and snow level criticality values, which position the panels should take.
By connecting the operator terminal to the IR port, it is possible to read the measurements detected by the weather station on a local display.
To optimize the operating system of the solar system, the monitoring system is equipped with an Operator terminal that allows manual control of the tracker using a simple keyboard. Thanks to the LCD display it can also be used to modify any parameter of the tracker or to read measured values, such as the current consumed by the motor, the voltage of the photovoltaic panel and the state of charge of the battery.
The company is willing to expand its market and is looking for commercial intermediaries, under distribution and commercial agency agreements, who can target its products to companies operating in the renewable energy sector, in particular developers of photovoltaic systems.
