Summary:
Italian company, specialized in the nail care sector, has developed a packaging with a new applicator for the nail polish that improve the hygiene, solving problems that arise from having to use the same product on multiple end users. The company is looking for a license agreement.
Description:
The start-up, founded in the southern Italy in 2019, works in the beauty sector, in particular in the nail care field.
In recent years, laboratory studies have shown that enamel bottles carry pathogens due to repeated immersion of the brush in the bottle.
The brush coming into contact with the fingernails and toenails of several people favours the collection and storage in the bottle of skin fragments, yeasts, molds and microorganisms such as staphylococcus aureus that survive the chemical; and this regardless of the brand.
The constant need to offer maximum hygiene in the aesthetics centres owned, pushed on the need to analyse the glaze flasks already used for half in the different aesthetics institutes in Italy, entrusting the research to qualified professionals and, subsequently, creating synergies with the laboratories of the University of Foggia.
They have developed and patented a new packaging for nail polish, equipped with applicator with a tip in soft hygienic silicone bristles and a valve that prevents the ascent.
The hygiene is guaranteed because
1. the valve prevents the mixing between the nail polish used and the polish in the tube
2. bristles are easily sanitizable and/or replaceable
Moreover the tube is equipped with an IoT device, able to monitor the level of the polish, so that the operator can know the number of remaining applications.
The company is looking for transnational partners interested in the product, in order to take advantage also in foreign markets, thanks to a license agreement.
