Thanks to its own experience on audio technologies in Film industry sector the Italian SME has developed an advanced archiving system for audio files, with particular reference to soundscapes. This system lays its foundation on geolocation and dating of the sound file to be archived. It allows an extremely high detail of description and it allows to manage any type of audio file, both in terms of codec and container and in terms of the type of microphone array used, including the latest generation technology. The proposed technology includes a powerful internal search system, which allows users to reach even the smallest detail and therefore able to return extremely precise results. This advanced archiving system is already working for audiovisual and film sector and the Italian SME is now looking to transfer the technology in other sectors and some example of applications could be the noise pollution or environmental monitoring as well as touristic applications for the promotion of particular soundscapes of specific countries or regions. Interested organization could develop specific application under commercial agreement with technical assistance or technology cooperation.
