The company is specialized in innovative software solutions mainly targeted to the companies of the industrial sector, with the aim of empowering companies by using innovative software technologies like big data analysis tools and artificial intelligence services integration.
The company is now developing a COVID-19 solution to verify and monitor people access to the work places and is looking for technology partners specialized in innovative hardware sensors that can be integrated inside open source hardware platforms to be connected with the firm software platform.
The SME is interested both in technical cooperation agreements or commercial agreements with technical assistance.
The sensors will be adopted to perform the following tasks:
- high precision contactless body temperature measurement (accuracy <= +- 0.3°C);
- contactless high resolution face acquisition and biometric parameters measurement;
- contactless people gesture detection.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
The partner will cooperate to the development of the hardware solution for contactless temperature and / or face detection and / or gesture detection; he will supply some samples of the sensor devices to perform development and testing of the solution and give technical support in order to build up some working prototypes and evaluate a possible switch to a commercial phase of the cooperation.
The company is interested either in technical cooperation agreements either in commercial agreements with technical assistance.
Technical Specification or Expertise Sought:
The company is looking for a partner with a strong experience in intelligent hardware sensors production with the ability of developing integrated solutions with open source hardware platforms like Raspberry pi, Arduino, etc.
In particular, the company needs two different modules to be integrated in their platform:
1. Thermal module (required).
- Infrared thermometer sensor (Vanadium Oxide or similar)
- high accuracy (<= 0.3°C) at least in the human body temperature range (20 - 50 °C)
- 3.3 - 5V operating voltage
- measurement distance: 0,5 - 1,0 m
- needed peripheral devices for proper signal conditioning and calibration.
-at least one of the following analog or digital communication protocols to get the measurement: SmBus / I2C interface, PWM output, RS/232, etc,
2. Gesture detection module (optional)
- Contactless hand gesture detection sensor
- Contactless sensor for reliable detection of people gesture as answer(i.e. YES or NO)
- Cheap but reliable technology (i.e. infrared, ultrasound etc.)
- Detection distance range: at least 1 - 10 cm or more, better if adjustable
- needed peripheral devices for proper signal conditioning and calibration.
