Summary:
A Danish company based on the island of Funen, with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing high-quality stainless steel materials, has developed an automated external defibrillator (AED) cabinet for outdoor use with built-in climate control, to ensure that the AED is always ready for use in an emergency. The company is looking for distributors across Europe.
Description:
In 1986, the family-owned Danish company was set up in Odense on the island of Funen, and today has over 60 employees. The company is a complete supplier for the catering and machine industry sectors, specializing in stainless steel manufacturing, as well as making a range of unique, specialist products under their own name.
One of their products is a cabinet for automated external defibrillators or "heart starters", which are aesthetically designed, include ventilation to keep the AED cool and to remove humidity and even include a thermostatically controlled heating element, making them frost resistant down to -20°C or -40°C depending on the model. All have doors with clear thermo-glass, internal LED lights and alarms on the doors. The cabinets use a material which is dirt resistant, and are of course, water-proof for installation outdoors.
As sustainability is a core value of the owner, all the cabinets are made with 85%+ recycled material, based on scrap metal, with one of the lowest CO2 emissions in the industry. The products are endorsed by a number of Scandinavian health agencies and organizations, including the Danish Heart Association (Hjerteforeningen) and a leading insurance company health program.
In order to continue its expansion, the company is looking for distributors working with public institutions, housing associations, hospitals, care centres, sports centres, harbours and marinas, campsites and large hotels and restaurants in Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
The ideal partner will be a distributor working with health and emergency equipment already or looking for a new product to introduce into their portfolio. The partner should typically be selling to a range of public and private organizations where safety and emergency equipment are needed, including harbors and marinas, campsites and parks, large hotels, resorts and restaurants, as well as public authorities, hospitals and care centers. The list is not exhaustive, and the company is open to other suggestions as well.
