Summary:
A young Danish company is specialised in standard Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions designed for food companies to help them manage their business processes. In order to continue their expansion, the company is looking for food organisations, business consultants, food regulation advisors, certification bodies and other companies and organisations with connections to the food industry to work under license agreements.
Description:
The Danish company was founded in 2018 and works with standard, modern, digital Enterprise Resource Planning software systems, developed together with the food sector.
Every food company must be able to document traceability from raw materials, throughout production, to finished products. Food-manufacturing can happen in multiple phases, by use of side-products from other food production, by use of third-party producers and with varying input. This all makes it difficult to ensure traceability within food-companies. For certified manufacturing, this becomes even more complex with the need to document mass-balances across the value chain.
Available in a number of language versions, the system is a standard, cloud-based, solution based on the newest database technologies that significantly lower the costs of running the underlying infrastructure and at the same time increase reliability and availability. This enables the company to provide their solution at a competitive price, making ERP and professional management of complex processes and calculations accessible to a segment of food-companies that would previously have been left with spreadsheets and inefficient processes. Their system supports all core workflows in a food company including purchasing, production, inventory, logistics, sales, invoicing, quality management, and financials. The system also automates functions such as traceability, Intrastat reporting and documentation for organic inspection, and Marine Stewardship Council(MSC) and Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) certification. While traceability is the core of their system, it also offers the ability to manage production dates effectively, reducing food waste, tracking economic costs of individual ingredients to ensure optimal and cost-effective production.
Their solution is a standard solution designed in close cooperation with food companies and is therefore a competitive solution for businesses in the food industry. In order to continue their expansion, the Danish company is offering license agreements to relevant organisations in the food sector, including certification bodies, regulation advisors and food business support organisations.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
The ideal partner would be a specialised organisation or consultancy, working with certification or regulatory issues in the food industry, looking for a stable, efficient and cost-effective software system targeting the food industry. This would be offered under a license agreement.
The company is however open to other types of organisations including food industry support organisations and IT resellers.
