Developer of family friendly flexible bed systems is looking for distribution services and commercial agency agreements or subcontracts

A start-up based in Central Germany has developed innovative flexible bed systems for families. As many children sleep in their parents` bed (co-sleeping), there is often a lack of space, which disturbs their parents` sleep. A larger bed takes up a lot of space in the bedroom and therefore isn`t a solution for many families. Thus, the company developed an innovative form of flexible bed systems consisting of the core bed and two side beds. If the parents sleep alone and therefore don`t need additional sleeping place, the side beds including mattress and slatted frame are stowed away in the core bed. If one or more kids sleep there too, the side beds can be quickly and easily pulled out within 10 seconds. Thereby the flexible beds offer families enough sleeping space without taking away space from the bedroom. This innovative flexible bed system consists of the core bed (2,13m x 1,91m) and two side beds (2,13m x 0,80m) each with 5 rolls. The main mattress is 2m x 1,80m and the mattresses of the side beds are 2m x 0,80m. As the beds are single pieces, the start-up can agree with hotels on producing other sizes as well. The company offers solid wood beds made of different woods (beech, heartwood ash, wild oak, swiss stone pine, maple, wild ash, walnut). The wood comes from mainly local sustainable forestry (PEFC certificate) and is processed by hand in Central Germany. This system is particularly suitable for family friendly hotels, holiday homes, resorts, pensions and similar establishments. The flexible bed system can replace the extra bed, folding couch or baby crib. Thus, transport of additional beds isn´t necessary anymore and there is no longer a gap between the additional bed and the main mattress. In addition, families that are used to co-sleeping do not want to miss it during their vacation as sleeping separately would not relax them. Therefore, the option of co-sleeping can be the decisive criterion for these families when choosing an accommodation. The company is looking for commercial agency or distribution services agreements with agents, wholesailers, interior designers or retailers. In addition, it is looking for family hotels or other establishments interested in contracting the start-up as a subcontractor. The company is particularly interested in partners from Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway.
