A Dutch internationally operating company in the food and beverage industry is looking for sensor- or hyperspectral imaging technology based sorting and recycling solutions

A Dutch internationally operating group of companies is a leading provider of specialized catering services and tailor-made hospitality solutions for the business sector. From concept to realisation, from brand name to menu, and from service to ambience, the company provides their services to companies, hospitals, museums, airports, events and many more. At the company they take their responsibility to the environment and the planet extremely seriously. They believe that the food industry in particular can play a significant role in creating a future-proof world, and this conviction is translated into ambitious sustainability objectives. These objectives are related to minimising waste, limiting CO2emissions, breaking away from meat and fish, no unnecessary E numbers, minimal salt and sugar and the maximum amount of good fats and fibre. To be able to reduce the waste the company looks for sorting and recycling solutions based on sensor- or hyperspectral imaging technology. The waste streams are centralized as much as possible and the focus is on the sorting and recycling of materials like plastic, metal, paper, beverage carton, glass and textile. The company already has a solution for the food waste stream. The Dutch company aims for a commercial agreement with technical assistance with a developer and/or supplier of sensor-based sorting and recycling solutions. The Dutch company wants to have the role of being an integrator and will deliver the final test specifications. The company feels the need for waste recycling in the whole hospitality sector. The partner is desired to develop and deliver the sorting and recycling solution based on the sensor- or hyperspectral imaging technology. Organizations are invited to express their interest before the closing date. Interested parties can get additional information on the platform and browse freely through other submissions. After closing of the challenge, the company will select some organizations for an online meeting to explore cooperation possibilities.
