Summary:
French manufacturer of a wide range of remote monitoring solutions for energy networks has developed a gas volume converter. Connected to gas meter, this device measures the pressure and temperature of the gas and allows gas operators to invoice large industrial consumers as accurately as possible.
The company wishes to sell this product in Europe and seeks partners via distribution agreements.
The French company is a key player in the "smart gas grid" business.
Description:
Located in the south of France, the company was created in 2004. It continues the activities of a former company specialised in remote data transmission, from which it took over 13 employees. Building on their 40 years of experience, the company has developed its activity by focusing more specifically on the monitoring of gas networks. With a team of 21 people, including 13 in R&D, the company offers a wide range of equipment, software and turnkey solutions for the supervision of gas distribution and transport networks, as well as the associated services (installation, maintenance, training, legal metrology services).
The company is certified ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and its products comply with the regulations in force (explosive atmospheres, legal metrology, etc...)
The company works directly with gas operators such as GRDF and GRTGAZ (ENGIE), with public utilities, integrators and distributors, mainly in France, but it also has an international activity with Italgas in Italy and Izgaz in Turkey, and with some European distributors of gas technologies.
Currently, the company is considered by French gas operators as a key player in the « Smart gas grid » business.
It now wishes to expand into EU market selling in particular one of its products : a gas volume converter (photo attached).
Intended for professionals, and in particular manufacturers who consume gas at high pressure, this device is used to measure the volume of the gas used by taking into account the pressure and temperature of the gas. It's connected to the gas meter and allows gas operators to invoice large industrial consumers as accurately as possible.
The partners sought are distributors of gas equipment (gas meters, detectors, regulation stations, etc...) but who must also be able to provide installation and a first level of maintenance, under a distribution services agreement.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
The company is looking for partners who are able to distribute the converters but also ensure the installation and provide a first level of maintenance. The ideal partner is specialised in the field of gas and has a network of industrial/professional customers. The French company will provide training to future partners, while ensuring technical assistance on the products (after-sales service, repairs etc.)
The converters comply with European regulations, in particular the ATEX and measuring instruments directives, but the partner must be informed about any national specificities which could, for example, require certification.
Knowledge of legal metrology is a plus.
