Summary:
The SME, located in Southern France, produces a plug and play device to prevent its clients from potential cyber attacks. Cyber prevention is usually very costly and not continuous, hence this innovative solution represents a sustainable response to this growing challenge. The device represents a preventive solution to protect companies from cybercrime by detecting risks and producing 24/7 audit reports. To accelerate its growth, the SME is looking for technical cooperation agreements in the EU.
Description:
Since a few years, one of the major threats for companies became cybercrime which happened through the democratisation of hacking tools. Lately all sizes of businesses are targeted since 48% of cyber attacks were perpetuated against small businesses. The current pandemic context also emphasized this threat since there is a 300% increae in cyber crimes since Covid 19 .
SMEs are very vulnerable towards this threat since they have a limited budget for the purchase of protection tools and since it takes nearly 6 months to detect a data breach in average.
In order to fight against cybercrime, there are 2 different options on the one hand, preventive solutions such as periodic technical audits and on the other, corrective solutions which are antivirus and firewall. Preventing risks represents the best option by far, but requires very rare skills, is very costly and represents only a spot one-time monitoring.
To answer this issue, a SME was created in 2018 in Southern France and started producing a plug and play device aiming at warning each equipped network administrator of real-time vulnerabilities and risks of cyber attacks. The technology was granted a patent.
Through the interface also designed by the company any of its clients can monitor risk detection and can produce simplified audit reports. The network administrator of each client has access to its interface which is secured with a single used password and gives him access to : the full list of network vulnerabilities, a full inventory of connected devices and IPs and details and advices provided by the SME's experts. Furthermore, the administrator gets the main warnings per SMS and E-mail.
The SME provides to each of its client the plug and play device with a monthly subscription of maintenance and expertise services.
The offer is competitive and represents a real alternative to technical audits, the SME has an exponential growth since its creation. It has now gained a lead position on the French market. The ergonomics of use and the demand it covers make the offer competitive on any further EU market. The SME would like to be represented on the main EU markets such as Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands etc. and is therefore looking for technical partners which could integrate their solution into an offer to their final clients. The company is therefore interested in initiating new technical cooperation agreements.
