Summary:
Based on the photocatalytic principle, a German company offers a novel nano-catalyst coating system / device configuration for targeted, energy-efficient degradation of organic air pollutants e.g. toxic substances (naphthalin, formaldehyde, etc.), solvents, softening agents, odorants, allergens or pathogenic germs. Seeking commercial agreements with technical assistance with building/public transport operators, engineering companies, producers / installers of ventilation/climate control systems.
Description:
Harmful organic substances, pollutants and allergens in the ambient air represent serious risks to human health. Especially the Corona pandemic illustrates once more that high-performance, energy-efficient and flexible methods and systems are needed to remove or eliminate these hazardous contaminants in a broad range of locations, buildings and facilities in a lasting and sustainable way.
Based on the photocatalytic principle, a German company has developed a unique and patented nanotechnology coating system and device configuration which allows a very targeted and energy-efficient degradation of organic pollutants in ambient air. The innovative material was developed in combination with mercury-free and very durable UV-light sources. The system provides unique stability and surface quality, it produces no harmful side products, thus, making it highly competitive compared to existing solutions.
Regarding air pollution, the proposed photocatalytic system eliminates highly efficiently toxic substances (e.g. naphthalin, formaldehyde, etc.), solvents and softening agents, odorants and allergens as well as pathogenic germs.
The novel air treatment system is provided as a screen-like device which can be attached to walls or sealings. It is modular configurable and can be adapted to the specific application needs in size, shape, volume, degradation capacity as well as visual design.
Thus, it can be installed in public and private buildings and facilities such as hospitals, pharmacies, schools, municipal buildings, residential buildings, industrial production halls and warehouses, etc. but also in public transport e.g. busses, trains, aeroplanes or ships.
Cooperation is sought with operators of such buildings and facilities, with HAVAC engineering companies (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) or with producers / installers of climate control systems in public transportation.
The company envisages commercial agreements with technical assistance. The company provides preliminary engineering and consulting, system adaptation to the specific application, customised installation and respective technical support.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
Cooperation is sought with operators / building service companies of public or private buildings and facilities, with engineering and service companies for public transportation, with HVAC engineering companies (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) or with producers / installers of climate control systems.
Cooperation is envisaged based on commercial agreements with technical assistance, by adapting the photocatalytic system to the specific application and providing consulting, installation and technical support.
Potential partners are expected to provide all technical specifications in order to adapt the photocatalytic treatment system to the specific envisaged application and integrate it into new or existing treatment systems.
