Summary:
A UK SME has developed a low capital, cost-efficient hydrogen generator suitable for incorporation into autonomous solar installations, scalable for larger installations and for use with ICE (internal combustion engines) as an emissions reduction unit, including marine diesels. They are currently seeking engineering companies to help improve the pumping technology via technical cooperation agreements and also manufacturers to supply hydrogen storage tanks under manufacturing agreements.
Description:
A UK SME has developed an exciting technical innovation in efficient low cost green hydrogen generation. The hydrogen generator was developed over a period of 12 years as an academic exercise. The unit in its present form represents the combination of various scientific disciplines combined. Their aim is to achieve low voltage/current autonomous green hydrogen generation. The innovation that has been developed is a low capital cost efficient hydrogen generator suitable for incorporation into autonomous solar installations, scalable for larger installations and for use with internal combustion engines (ICE) as an emissions reduction unit, including marine diesels. A working prototype of the unit will be ready for demonstration in May 2021. Due to the secret know how and pending patent/s filed for in the UK, clients who are interested in learning more about this profile will need to sign an non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before further sensitive information can be exchanged. They are now seeking engineering companies with technical assistance who have pumping capabilities from small units to larger units up to 800 bar 5.5m3/h multi stage to help improve the technology. The smaller units will need to run off 12/24 volt DC. Technical cooperation agreements are envisaged. Manufacturers are also sought for hydrogen storage tanks which will need to be certified and tested. Capacities from 100 litres and larger are required. Manufacturing agreements are expected.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
Engineering organisations with technical assistance: To help improve the technology under technology cooperation agreement. They need to have experience or expertise in hydrogen pumping, from small units to larger units up to 800 bar 5.5m3/h multistage. The smaller units will need to run off 12/24 volt DC. Storage Tank Manufacturers (ideally expertise in hydrogen): To manufacture hydrogen storage tanks under manufacturing agreement. The storage tanks will need to be fully certified and further tested. Capacities from 100 litres and larger is required. NDAs: Due to the secret know how and pending patent/s filed for in the UK, clients who are interested in learning more about this profile will need to sign an non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before further sensitive information can be exchanged.
