This is an Italian company whose roots takes back to the 30’s when the ancient tradition of producing extra virgin olive oil inspired the family ancestor to lay the foundation of this company. Today the company is a modern reality, with a cutting edge new production plant. The production consists of olive oil but the company has recently launch different new products that perfectly match with the oils; these vary from vegetables in oil, spreads, sauces, olives, and dried products like pasta, dried fruits and typical bakery products from the land.
The company also pays attention to the packaging. There are in fact lots of model depending on sizes and materials (bottles, tins, bag in box, etc.). There is also a collection dedicated to flauvored oils and condiments as well as a biological one.
The olive oil production process is carried out respecting the natural growth and maturation of the olives in order to obtain a safe product; the olives come from the local farmers. They are clients and suppliers of the oil mill at the same time. According to the new requirements the company has invested in a new machinery system, a decanter multiphase. This system, thanks to its new technology, instead of producing a single-product (mixed pomace to vegetation water), divides this population into two parts, a little moist containing core olive pulp and with fuel for heating purposes, the other, more moist, named pate. Paté is used in biodigesters to produce energy, when dehydrated it could be very suitable as a supplement feeding livestock due to its high nutritional value or as fertilizer in the fields.
Moreover, from the organoleptic characteristics point of view, the oils are qualitatively better. They show higher values of both fruity bitter and spicy, more aromatic, more green and full-bodied with a picture of richer sensations. Also the vield is better, approximately at 1.3% more if compared to the yields of the traditional decanter.
The company is already on the market but it is interested in expanding its activity in countries where its presence is not too strong. Indeed, the olive production is flexible and it varies fom year to year (the company's yearly production is about 10.000 tons of olive oil, of which at least the 60% is sold abroad and the 40% is addressed to the national market), this allows to investigate and approach new markets; in particular after a market analysis the company is interested in the following countries, where the sales are lower than the others European markets: France, Germany and Poland. The expected sale for the beginnings should be around 5-10% of the overall european exports. The company is looking for distributors willing to work with high quality gourmet food products. The ideal partners are importers and/or distributors that work with shops specialised in gourmet products.
