Summary:
A Polish company specializing in nanotechnology and materials engineering offers its products based on silver nanopowder. The company is offering thermal silvering paints dedicated to the heavy industry. This process is used in the electrical and power industry. Their new technology replaces the obsolete, environmentally harmful electrochemical silvering proces. The company is searching for international cooperation under an outsourcing agreement.
Description:
The firm was founded in 2009 in Poland and its main goal was to support the electricity transmission and distribution sector by providing modern, convenient and environmentally friendly solutions. It is a company specializing in the field of nanotechnology and materials engineering. The team constantly creates new ideas that are translated into implemented R&D projects. From the beginning of its existence, the business operates at the interface between science and industry, specializing in transferring technology from scientific laboratories to production plants. The firm conducts research and development works aimed at increasing the level of technological readiness to the level that enables implementation. The company has developed an innovative thermal silvering process based on composites containing silver nanoparticles. This process is used in the electrical and power industry. The new technology replaces the outdated, environmentally damaging process of electrochemical silvering (galvanization). The thermal silvering process can be incorporated into the production line, thus facilitating various operations and expediting deliveries. The company is searching for customers from heavy industry that need silvering processes in their production. The company would like to sign a outsourcing services agreement.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
The partner is to be a company from heavy industry from the following sectors: 1. Energy and power electronics - the use of a thin protective layer of another material on the contact surface of a perfectly efficient main channel prevents oxidation and extends the life and usability of the entire transmission line. However, the materials used for the outer layer can offer not only protection against adverse external conditions, but also excellent conductivity. Silver or silver alloys are most commonly used for this type of application. 2. Biostatic, biocidal and antiviral coatings - the second area of application of silver coatings is to protect surfaces against the growth of bacteria and give them antiviral properties. Such a layer can be obtained on metallic, porcelain and sanitary equipment elements made of plastic, which show the greatest usability. The technology of producing composite layers allows for effective, long-term and, above all, independent antiviral prevention. Although the biostatic properties of silver have been known for a long time, this area is gaining importance in the fight against viruses such as SARS-COV-2. The recipients of the solution are companies producing sanitary equipment and sanitary facilities of public places such as shopping centers and supermarkets, health care clinics, railway and bus stations. When using the company's products, the entire application and production of the layer can take place at the customer's plant. Thanks to this, the granting of virucidal properties to public objects can take place in a much shorter time, as the subcontracting of electroplating plants is omitted. The company would like to sign a an outsourcing agreement.
