Summary:
A Polish company from the metal industry has specialised in the field of metalworking. It is offering to manufacture various metal elements made of metal sheets and aluminium profiles. Range of works the firm performs includes cutting, bending, painting and powder coating, mounting push-fit couplings and many other methods. The company is interested in partnerships within the framework of subcontracting or manufacturing agreement.
Description:
An SME from northwestern Poland is operating in the metal sector and specialise in metalworking. It has recently opened a new, modern production facility equipped with state-of-the-art machines, such as fibre lasers, CNC folding presses, CNC plotters (3D and 5D) and many others. The firm has been building on its previous successes in the electric lighting equipment industry, which gave them extensive experience cooperating with foreign partners, mainly European and Asian companies. The company offers to produce various metal elements from metal sheets and aluminium profiles, using the following metalworking methods: 1. cutting of sheets (max size: 1500 x 3000mm) using a fibre laser cutting machine with a FIBRE 2D-type linear drive motion system: - black steel - max thickness: 12mm, cutting speed: 12mm/s, - stainless steel - max thickness: 6mm, cutting speed: 18mm/s, - aluminium - max thickness 4 mm, cutting speed: 28mm/s; 2. cutting of metal, aluminium or plastic profiles: - max sizes of profiles depending on their shape - pipe: Ø225 mm, square: 200mm x 200mm, rectangle: 300mm x 175mm, - max length: 1000mm, 3. bending with a CNC folding press: - max bending force: 100T, - max bending length: 3100mm, - bending speed: 10 mm/s; 4. mounting of push-fit couplings on metal sheets using the pneumatic press: - max screw threads: M10 and M12 for aluminium sheets, - max press force: 5,3T, - no limits in terms of peg/sleeve length; 5. painting and powder coating: - the cycle: priming the metal surface -> drying in the oven -> powder coating in the booth -> polymerisation in the oven -> cooling, - max size of painted details: 1600mm (L) x 300mm (W) x 1600mm (H), - available for black metal and aluminium, - speed: 1800 m2 of metal sheets for every 8h; 6. engraving; 7. milling. Moreover, the company can brand materials with a name, code etc. By branching out into the metalworking industry and engaging in cooperation with foreign partners, the company's goal is to diversify its operations and revenue streams, and to open new opportunities for growth. They are interested in the partnership with manufacturers of metal products (e.g. tools) or of products with metal elements under manufacturing agreement or subcontracting. In both cases, partners are expected to specify material and types of work required, stipulate how exactly the final product should look like (designs/blueprints would be helpful) and how many items are ordered. The firm will then manufacture the products accordingly. Other details of the partnership (e.g. who is responsible for delivery) will be discussed during the negotiations.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
Manufacturing agreement - Type of partner sought: companies, especially producers of industrial equipment and machinery. - Role of partner sought: partner should provide the company with the specification of the ordered products, inform on types of work and material required, and stipulate the number of products ordered. Subcontracting agreement - Type of partner sought: companies, especially producers of industrial equipment and machinery, and their suppliers. - Role of partner sought: partner is expected to engage the company in its projects and provide all the information necessary to manufacture ordered products (its shape, size, material, number of items etc.).
