Description:
The Russian company from Moscow was founded in 2016. The company has developed an innovative video capsule endoscopy technology. The use of the video capsule in daily clinical practice has established various groups of diseases of the small intestine (inflammatory, vascular, neoplastic, iatrogenic). This technology has stimulated the development and introduction of other diagnostic and therapeutic methods. The principle of operation of the capsule is to transmit high-quality digital images of the small intestine to a recording device located on the patient's body throughout the study.
The capsule has the following characteristics: it takes pictures at a rate of 2 frames / sec., transmits about 55,000 video images during 8 hours of operation, the minimum detail size is about 0.1 mm, with a maximum eight-fold magnification, the inspection depth is from 1 to 30 mm, and the viewing angle is 140°. The main component of capsule endoscopy is a miniature endoscopic video capsule (a capsule endoscope consisting of a camera, a miniature video camera, light sources, a power source, and a transmitter). The current source used must provide the best quality of the transmitted photos with an increased frame rate per second for maximum information.
The company has developed elements of the lithium-fluorinated carbon electrochemical system for capsule endoscopy and video capsules of domestic development. Lithium-fluorinated carbon systems show their significant advantages over traditional silver-zinc current sources for these products, both in terms of operating time and energy performance. The cathode, made on the basis of fluorinated carbon, is a fairly stable substance. The high hydrophobicity of fluorinated carbon is an advantage when used in lithium power sources.
