Summary:
An Italian company, with its team of engineers with multidisciplinary competencies and long lasting experience in R&D in a number of engineering areas, would like to offer own testing and simulation facilities for the development of new products and processes in which startup companies are involved.
Application areas include aerospace, automotive, biomed and healthcare, oil&gas, steel industry, manufacturing processes.
Company is open to service, technological or research agreements.
Description:
Traditionally, innovation is driven by the typical trial-and-error approach. Although driven by the empirical experience, this implies unavoidable failure risks and may result in non-negligible costs and waste of time, especially when it involves startup with few resources.
Virtual simulations provide their benefits in a wide range of industrial areas: energy, automotive, aeronautics/aerospace, oil&gas, steel industry, manufacturing industry, biomedical and others.
The Italian company with a team of engineers experienced in EU projects management, makes available a Virtual Lab: a cluster of numerical simulation technologies including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). These solutions allow modelling new products and processes and predicting their actual behaviour under a number of operating scenarios, which could be extremely helpful for startup/spinoff companies when considering the development of a new product or process.
Simulation technologies make available virtual prototypes, which can be iteratively refined and optimized well before starting the prototyping phase, with a consequent reduction of cost/time resources. Even more, they push the design, optimization and validation to a higher grade of awareness, this allowing to exploit the innovation at its maximum. The service of virtual simulation is coupled with experimental testing for validation.
Aside of the technical expertise, the Company also owns competencies and experience in EU project coordination.
The company is therefore making available its simulation technologies and expertise to companies and organisations interested in developing innovative projects. Cooperation might be regulated either as research/technical cooperation agreement or service agreement (commercial agreement with technical assistance).
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
Italian company is open to consider different types of collaborations, ranging from research and development (under EU or other projects of interest), technical collaboration agreement, or commercial agreements with technical assistance - service agreements, depending on startup/spinoff needs, interest, and degree of customization on requested processes.
