Summary:
SME in Kyiv (Ukraine) offers an air heater to reduce traditional energy consumption in ventilation systems and increase the coefficient of transformation of heat pumps of the air-air and air-water types. This is accomplished in frosts below minus 5 ° C by utilizing the heat of crystallization of cold water. Heat pump sales are increasing, while installed capacity and cost are decreasing. For the serial introduction of this product, the organization is looking for long-term partners.
Description:
In the northern countries of Europe, Asia and America, the amount of frosty days is from 70 to 200 per year. Such conditions in winter make it possible to heat the air before the evaporator of the heat pump (HP) to 0 -3 ºС. This increases the coefficient of transformation (COP) by 25-35%. At the same time HP can work at frosts minus 20-50ºС. The developed technology also provides up to 50% energy savings for ventilation in winter and is especially advantageous for rooms with a large ventilation rate. With simultaneous application of this technology for HP (before the evaporator) and for ventilation systems (in front of the air coolers) in frosts, up to 60% of energy can be saved. Due to the high heat of crystallization (334 kJ / kg), the water flow is insignificant. The resulting ice can be accumulated for summer cooling (storage of products, air conditioning, cooling of data center rooms).
The organization is creating (since 1993) the means and systems of automation, as well as developing integrated projects using renewable energy sources for the modernization of municipal energy.
The organization is looking for partners who agree to participate in the joint design and manufacture of new air heaters, the supply of standard equipment in their chosen country or in Ukraine.

Three types of air heaters were developed using the heat of crystallization of water, one of them was made as a pilot sample, with sufficient capacity for ventilation of the cottage. In 2016, Kiev underwent tests. At the same time, the air was heated from minus 11ºС to minus 4-5ºС and its costs were sufficient for ventilation of the building with an area of 100 sq. m (the first degree of preheating in front of a traditional air heater).
