Description:
Ukrainian snail cluster was founded in 2018. It has snail breeding facilities, incubators, a calibration line, and refrigerated warehouses for product storage. The snail is grown on the land plots owned by farmers who are members of the cooperative. So far, the cooperative unites 28 farms.
The farms that are members of the association are located in an ecologically clean place – among the fields and forests of the western part of Ukraine, without the presence of industrial production and human influence.
The cluster consists of and is supported by public administration – provides co-financing of projects, university – provides systematization and dissemination of knowledge in the field of snail farming and promoting the sustainable development principles, NGOs – ensure the dissemination of partnership methodology to other sectors of agriculture.
The enterprise has implemented the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP System).
